In the Direct Post (DP) method, the communications with the cardholder are developed completely by the merchant and not defined by the Payment Gateway. Payment data is collected from the Cardholder, transaction details are delivered to the Payment Gateway, transaction responses are returned in the body of HTTP response in a query name/value format, and a transaction receipt or transaction declined message is presented to the cardholder.
